Moon is a large scale color photograph, apart from a sliver of moon in the lower left hand corner is comprised entirely of the blackness located at the upper right hand side of the moon. While this piece can be read as a comment on minimal painting and photography, it is also a melancholic investigation of something unknowable. It is about that which is out of reach, about gazing just outside of the subject.
