Tornado - installation

A site-specific installation for “Interim” The Sculpture Center, Long Island City, NY

The Sculpture Center’s basement has 4 long corridors, my proposal was to create a tornado within this space. Turning upside down the idea of seeking refuge within the basement. By building a room with angled and curved walls, with a fan on the ceiling and mist emitted from the bottom, this project contains the weather within an architectural structure.
